warnings slight age angst? and... birthday presents...
[Jack hadn't marked the calendar or anything. And he hadn't been planning for this day for months.
No really, he hadn't.
He'd just been casually thinking about it recently, ever since Isaac had mentioned it off-hand that his birthday was coming up. Jack had wrangled the exact date out of him, and then hadn't brought it up since.
December 20th dawned cold, the two of them tangled up in the blankets which had gotten rearranged approximately a million times throughout the night. They were active sleepers. They always would be. And the blankets were sad victims of their nightly wars.
Jack wakes up with his head on Isaac's chest, as usual, and he blinks and just lies there for a minute before remembering. He tilts his head up so that his face brushes under Isaac's jaw, leaving a few light kisses where his neck and jawline met.]
Hey.

literally, but slowly he sits up and leans in, close enough that their noses brush slightly. ]Before you do that...
[ He kisses him, slow and warm and lazy. ]

Isaac, I just... swallowed...

After a face full of it...?
[ His fingers lift, brushing the line of Jack's jaw. ]

[But he leans into the touch slightly.]

So he has to pull away again reluctantly.]
Breakfast has to happen.

S'pose so.
[ So he'll ease a bit away from Jack and kind of slide his fingers through his hair with a slight yawn. ]

Still.
He eventually gets out, slipping on some pants and sliding into a soft, plaid button down. It probably wouldn't do to just stay there (maybe he can help
no Isaac no). Heading out of the bedroom, he moves into the kitchen, kind of poking a head over Jack's shoulder curiously. What're you doooooooin'? ]

Also there may or may not be bacon waiting to get put in the pan.
He turns his head to look at Isaac.]
Pancakes. Unless you want something else?
no subject
[ Pancakes are really good and he turns his head a bit to look at the bacon. Because bacon.
He's trying to remember that last time he's actually had food this good and it's really hard to think about. ]
... Do you need help?
[ It doesn't hurt to ask... ]

Still.]
You want to make some coffee?
no subject
It's fairly self-explanatory, he realizes, and moves through the steps required to get it actually percolating. He watches it for a few minutes just to be sure that it's actually working (and not intending to explode in his face or something) before he leaves it to do its work on the counter and leans a bit against it to watch Jack curiously.
So that's how you make pancakes. ]

Because bacon. ]

It's not long before the bacon is cooked and there's a stack of pancakes.
Jack puts everything out on the table, sitting down.]
Well there you go.

It looks amazing.
no subject
It's no big deal.
[Few pancakes on his plate, followed by some bacon... yeeeah butter and syrup yeeeeaah. He's so hungry time for BREAKFAST YEAH.]
no subject
That's really good.
[ How did you get them to taste so good are you magical? ]
no subject
Thanks.
[Well he used to be SCIENCE magical but no more. And that's okay.
omnomnom this is good. Good job, Jack. Good job.]
